The Tosetti family is LONG overdue for a vacation. With the opening of Fearless Fitness (our martial arts school) and my pregnancy with Dante, it has been almost two years since we have had a proper holiday.
In less than two weeks we will be heading to Santa Cruz for an extended weekend. We will be sharing a cabin on the beach with our annual snow trip friends. Because we rented the cabin after Labor Day, we received a significant discount.
A few years ago we rented a fantastic house on Pismo Beach. We had a great time, but the four hour drive was exhausting. The fact that Santa Cruz is just an hour away from us is a huge bonus!
Although the trip is still two weeks away, I am already preparing for it. I have been setting aside clothes as we do laundry so I won't have to pack at the last minute. I have been watching the sales ads at the grocery store to stock up on snacks and drinks.
By doing a little packing and a little shopping in advance, I save money and greatly reduce my pre-vacation stress.
