One of the goals of Budget Savvy is to demonstrate that you can look great without going broke. Occasionally, I focus too heavily on the not going broke part and not enough on the looking great part.
Up until last week, I was still wearing maternity bras. I had a black one and a nude one. They covered just about all of my needs – except one. During the summer, I live in tank tops. I sheepishly admit to being too cheap to invest in a racerback maternity bra to wear beneath them. Consequently, I spent the last few months fighting to keep wayward bra straps under my shirt. I looked and felt tacky.
Now that I am back in my regular bras, the straps of my racerback stay neatly in place. I look back at the last few months and kick myself for not coughing up for the special maternity bra. It would have been worth the price for me to look polished and more importantly, feel good.
