My friend Rob Rhodes is an exceptional individual. I met him at our former martial arts school. At well over 6 feet tall, Rob is an intimidating sparring partner, but a teddy bear of a human being.
For as long as I have known him, he has been involved in some type of volunteer work. The cause closest to his heart is Cystic Fibrosis. Rob volunteers one week each year as a counselor for the Cystic Fibrosis camp. He is always doing fund raising walks, runs and cycling races. Many times he is at the bedside of those who are lucky enough to get lung transplants. He also attends the bedside of those who are losing their battle with the disease.
Rob has always been an inspiration to me to do more, but like all of us, time and money are an issue.
