I have been keeping a secret from you. It's not an embarrassing or shameful secret – quite the contrary. I just wanted to get past a particular point before formerly announcing it here. I am very happily five months pregnant! If all goes as planned, and it never does with babies, little Tosetti. will be arriving around December 30th. After 12 years of being together, my and Paul's lives are going to change dramatically. We are looking forward to the change. We are surrounded by warm, loving friends and family who are just as eager as we are to meet the new addition of the family. An aspect I look forward to is the challenge of managing my finances with a baby. I have lived the Budget Savvy lifestyle for over 10 years now. My whole financial world is going to change. Although I plan on breastfeeding for the first six months and using cloth diapers as often as it is convenient, babies can be fiscally challenging. I look forward to researching and exploring how to enjoy life with my new baby, while staying financially responsible. It's possible that down the road we may add a "Nursery" section to the magazine. It is an area I have never felt confident writing about before from a lack of direct experience. I'm hoping that a year from now I'll have some great tips to pass on to you other mothers out there. In the meantime, I'd love to hear your tips! Feel free to write me at melissa@budgetsavvymag.com.
