 Paul and I had to put our dog Murphy to sleep last week. I won’t go into how heart wrenching it was. As much as we miss her we are trying to look on the bright side that she was a part of our family for 13 wonderful years.
As we struggle with our loss, our English Bulldog Mushu is really having a tough time. She misses her friend and lifelong companion. As we give her as much attention as possible, we are in the process of looking for a new dog – not an easy task.
Specifically, we are looking for an English Mastiff or an English Mastiff mix. I am not about to shell out $1,000 - $2,500 for a pet! Also, I have a very difficult time buying from a breeder when there are so many animals out there that need a loving home. I have put in applications with several Mastiff rescue services. I’d like to get a dog that is 6 months or younger so that Mushu can be the alpha. However, if the right adult dog comes along – that gets along with Mushu, we will happily welcome them into our home.
